One of the most special days in my life was last Saturday when Hayley went through the temple for the first time. She looked like an angel that day, and I will have that image of her when I saw her as I rushed in ( because i was late) saved in my mind forever. Hayley and I parted one week ago today at the HIll Cumorah.
We were both exhausted after 3 weeks of pageant craze and for the next 2 days I slept and ate A LOT. One such occasion was a barbeque at my good friends, the Hanzlik's, home on Wednesday. We played a game called Cornhole that night and I went undefeated with a perfect 6/6 record. Winning was great, but from the moment we said goodbye I have been missing Hayley and wishing we never had to leave each other.
Thursday I started work again at the Sky Ridge Surgery Center helping to clean up after cases and keeping all the shelves stocked. Working there has confirmed my desire to work in the medical field and help people to improve their health. Hayley has been so supportive of this dream that I have always had, I am one lucky guy! This weekend Claire's friends (Trevor, Jake, and Jacqueline) came to visit from Provo, so we showed them the old stomping grounds here in Denver. Saturday night we went down town to rent bikes and ride around the 16th street mall. Once again, this was fun, but I have had a feeling of being divided. My best friend is on the other side of the country and I miss her!
In six days we are getting married. There has been lots of preparations and decisions made in painstaking detail; most of it by my dear fiance I might add, but the thought that keeps coming to my mind is that I am going to be sealed to the most wonderful woman I have ever met. Although there is lots of stress and anxiousness, that is what this all boils down to for me. Hayley and I are getting married and I have never been happier in my entire life. I cannot wait!!!
