Thanksgiving and all that went with it

i've been so m.i.a. this past week and i can't even believe it. Thanksgiving break ended up being busier than expected, and i just never found the time to sit down and write something. But here I am now, and I'm happy to be back.
First off, how was your Thanksgiving? I hope it was everything you wanted it to be, and that you ate as much as i did. Though i'm not sure that's possible.
Thanksgiving with the Pingrees was wonderful. we ate a LOT of food, including the Thanksgiving feast, mexican food, pounds and pounds of Penne Rustica, and enough pie to feed an army. Needless to say I felt a little gluttonous come the end of the trip, and I think it's time for some sort of food boot camp to stop myself from becoming a blimp before Christmas.

I felt right at home for Thanksgiving, because my mother-in-law does Thanksgiving just like my mom. She goes ALL OUT. And I couldn't get enough of the pretty table spread and the nice china that was used. it reminded me of my parents and made me so thankful for the wonderful in-laws that i have. not only because they do a fancy Thanksgiving. :)

the spread!

needless to say, after almost a week in Denver, i'm sad to go back to reality and to the semester of death. But in two weeks, classes will be done and once finals are over i'll be a free woman! and i am oh so grateful for that.

Happy Monday!
