i made great food tonight that i want to share with you.
and i will, but without pictures.
my camera charger has a nasty habit of disappearing.
this is the second time i've lost it and i finally resorted to buying another one off ebay.
who wants to bet that when my new charger comes i'll find my old charger the next day?
this weekend was great.
the Pingrees, my fabulous inlaws, were in town for a quick weekend.
we got to go to the Saturday afternoon session of General Conference, Baby G stayed at our apartment friday night, we stayed up in salt lake at tutu & grandad's saturday night, and we got to spend the whole weekend listening to conference, relaxing, spending time with family, eating, and enjoying each other's company.
it was divine!
the pingree fam at coldstone after a lovely dinner at pf changs.
earlier friday night chin and i had the privilege of going to his semi-annual mission reunion. it's always fun to see his mission buddies and of course i love any opportunity to dress up.
all of us pingree siblings (minus graham of course) after the afternoon session of conference.
the newest additions to my collection of sisters. i love you two. :)
here are some recipes of the day for you:
for dinner tonight i made the Creamy Tomato Soup mentioned in the post below (click here for a quick view). i also made Sweet Corn Bread, a recipe adapted from the Oregon Trail and Columbia Village Ward Cookbook that my sister LesliAnn gave to me.
the corn bread is AMAZING. this was my second time making it and it was even more delicious the second time around.
Sweet Corn Bread:
Combine-
1/2 c. corn meal
1 1/2 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Combine-
1/3 c. oil
3 tbsp. melted butter
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. milk
(in separate bowl)
combine dry and liquid ingredients.
pour into greased 8x8 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
so easy! and so yummy. it's the perfect side to make for any fall meal.
